Maggie's Birthday

Three years old! Goes by so fast yet couldn't be happier to say goodbye to "The Terrible Twos". Maggie's birthday was pretty crazy but she had a good time and that is all that matters. Here are some highlights from her special day.

Isaac helping open presents.
No matter whose birthday party it is, everybody wants a piece of the presents.

Boys and balls...enough said.

Maggie took some lessons on lounging from the pregnant mothers. Our apologies to the large bellies displayed wothout prior consent.

How do you make a cake more nutritious? Try sweetened coconut, gummi worms and sugar bugs. Just go heavy on the gummi worms, the kids are going to fight for 'em.

Fifteen kids with waterballoons against an unarmed Daddy...hardly a fair fight!

Where's Waldo? My guess would be running for dear life for kids and water balloons.

We found a really cool sprinkler on clearance for $4 but not many kids seemed too interested in it. Maggie loved it so in and of itself makes it more than worth it. We learned a few lessons, one being: Don't try to cram twenty 2-4 year olds on a small porch with a table full of food and cake.
A big thanks to all the parents who brought their little ones to play. We loved having you all and hope the kids had fun.

Vacation

We got to go down to the beach last weekend for a few days. It was nice to get away. Someone recently told me that you take a trip when you have kids and a vacation when you don't, I couldn't agree. Although the beach and sand and wind and salt water isn't the greatest idea with a baby we all still had fun, most of the time.

Last year when we went to the beach Maggie was terrified of it. This year she loved it! Isaac loved it until he got salt water in his eyes although I think that was better then the sand in his eyes.

They had fun in the sand. I don't know how much Isaac ate though.
After we played at the beach we went to the pool. Maggie just kept going, Isaac on the other hand was ready for a nap.

Even Walmart was a fun adventure for Mag.

Did you know that ice buckets were so much fun?

Probably the best part was the down time where we actually just got to relax! Since we don't have a TV at home Maggie and Isaac liked watching the cartoons. Mommy and Daddy liked relaxing without feeling like we had a million other things to do. It was a good weekend.
